Fantasy trading gives traders and investors a vehicle to experiment with investing or trading the stock market without needing actual cash.  Wall Street Survivor is a terrific website for managing a fantasy trading account to evaluate new strategies and explore new plans. Traders can sort and filter instruments with a free stock screener from Zacks.com as well as trading advice from founder Mark Brookshire.  Traders can review what leading bloggers from MSN Money are trading as well as Wall Street Survivor’s own stock picking wizards.  In addition there are fantasy trading games with giveaways and a trading community forum where other players share fantasy trading strategies.  If you are a novice to trading and interested in trying Wall Street Survivor for learning, they have introductory instructional lessons as well.  Fantasy trading is a blast and if you are smart and lucky it can be financially rewarding as well.

Fantasy traders can select to trade instruments on the NYSE or NASDAQ as well as options where available.  Once you enroll in a a free account you will be brought to the “dashboard” where you can see a synopsis of your account, review the weekly and monthly leaderboards, see what contests are running now, or create a trade. A hundred thousand dollars of fantasy money is given to each trader when they open a basic membership.  Traders try to increase their fantasy portfolio by trading equities and options in the free basic membership.  Loyalty points can also be accumulated by executing trades, participating in the forums, and other actions that augment the Wall Street Survivor experience for everyone.  If you try the free basic membership and believe fantasy trading is for you, there are several of account upgrades for you to choose from to improve your Wall Street Survivor experience.

Real time quotes with real time bid/ask pricing is available to traders who enhance their account from “Basic” to “Real Time”.  The real-time membership also includes a 25% loyalty points increase, a maximum of five fantasy trading portfolios as opposed to only one, Zacks buy/sell recommendations, SmartStops protective exits, and advanced technical analysis.  A promotion to an Elite membership extends to traders all of these functions plus “Survivor Pro Picks” which is a portfolio of the top ten holdings of the top “survivors” and the “Survivor Spy” which permits you to watch the trades of any trader on Wall Street Survivor live.  The Premier package includes all of this and a 50% loyalty points bonus. Loyalty points can be cashed in for gift cards and other prizes so even if your portfolio isn’t winning you can.
